THE PLAYROOM EAST COBB LAUNCHES “REGULATION NINJAS” TO SUPPORT EMOTIONAL REGULATION IN CHILDREN

East Cobb, GA – January 30, 2025 – The Playroom East Cobb is proud to introduce “Regulation Ninjas,” an innovative weekly class designed to empower children and parents with strategies for emotional and nervous system regulation. This unique program gives families an affordable way to access group classes created by a pediatric occupational therapist. Classes are now open for registration at www.theplayroomeastcobb.com.

Why Regulation Ninjas?

Regulation Ninjas is a thoughtfully designed program that teaches children and their parents how to recognize and manage signs of emotional and nervous system dysregulation. When the nervous system is regulated, children feel calm, in control, and ready to learn. The class equips participants with tools and terminology to understand and address dysregulation, fostering resilience, emotional awareness, and improved communication. Each session gives children the opportunity to

  • Learn to identify which of the zones they are experiencing and techniques to help them transition
  • Move and challenge their bodies to overcome obstacles in our sensory integration therapy gym (and managing big emotions that may arise from frustration)
  • Navigate social situations and practice emotional regulation with peers in the class

By participating in Regulation Ninjas, children gain skills to navigate emotions, manage stress, and build confidence—skills that benefit them in school, at home, and beyond.

Enrollment Details

Regulation Ninjas is available now and will be offered for 4-6 week sessions at The Playroom East Cobb. Families can sign up for the program online at www.theplayroomeastcobb.com. Class size is limited to no more than 6 children, so early registration is encouraged.

More Therapist-Designed Classes at The Playroom

Each month, The Playroom hosts Toddler Storytime with a Speech Therapist. And later this winter, a speech therapist will be offering a series called Exploring Early Language for children 0-2 and their grown-ups. The series will teach grown-ups how to encourage early gestures, how to encourage communication during play, functional phrases for confident communication, and how to expand vocabulary through daily routines.

The Playroom East Cobb is dedicated to promoting physical and emotional wellness for children of all ages through creative, movement-based programs. Our sensory gym and expert-led classes provide a safe, engaging environment where all children can grow, play, and thrive.
