Amari Banks, OTR/L
Focus Ninja Creator/Teacher, Occupational Therapist
Brief info
I’ve always enjoyed engaging with children frequently finding myself working for many YMCAs, recreational summer camps, after school, and science tutoring programs within the Metro Atlanta area. In those roles, I found a special connection and interest in children who learn and play differently from their peers. I was introduced to the field of Occupational Therapy in High School. I attended Brenau University in Gainesville, GA receiving my Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2018 and 2020.
I provide occupational therapy services and support to children and families in the outpatient and school-based settings. My specialties include: children ages 2-12 diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Developmental Delay and experience difficulty with executive functioning, social skills, emotional regulation, visual processing, motor coordination, and handwriting in the outpatient and school-based settings. I have a passion for fostering connections, reintegration, and supporting whole family systems. I love to read mystery, fiction, and spiritual books. I enjoy playing tennis with my friends and
baking for my family. My favorite place to vacation is the beach and I love to take painting and ceramic classes. I find Lego sets and coloring to be peaceful pastime activities!
