Amy Wilensky, M.Ed. CCC-SLP

Speech Therapist & Tutor

Brief info

Amy is a Speech-Language Pathologist with a wide variety of pediatric experience in school and clinic settings, working with receptive and expressive language disorders, pragmatic (social) language disorders, articulation disorders, dyslexia, ADHD and learning differences.

She has worked extensively with preschool, kindergarten and older school-aged children who have language disorders, dyslexia and ADHD. In supporting these children, she focuses on executive function difficulties such as attention, memory, and problem-solving. Trained through IMSE in Orton-Gillingham (OG) and morphology, as well as the Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) writing model, she combines language and literacy strategies to support all areas of reading and writing development, fostering the children’s ability to succeed in academic and social settings.

In addition to school age children, she has comprehensive experience working with younger children, in the areas of language development, phonological awareness, articulation and decreased verbal communication and intelligibility.

Amy provides a positive, playful and supportive environment to help children grow and learn. Passionate about parent education and collaboration, she provides families with the tools to support their children’s growth at home. Outside of work, she’s a mom of two daughters, enjoys spending time at home, and taking walks with their silly, energetic dog.
