Michaella
Play Team, Camp Leader, Art Teacher
Brief info
Michaella is a first-year preschool and special education teacher who is passionate about working with young children and supporting their growth across all areas of development. She is especially excited to get to know each child and build strong, trusting relationships with both students and families. Through her work in preschool settings, she has gained valuable hands-on experience supporting early kindergarten readiness and serving children across a wide range of special education needs. She is currently working toward a master’s degree in social work to further strengthen her ability to support children and families in holistic and meaningful ways.
Michaella brings a strong creative background to her teaching practice. She has expressed herself through art throughout her life, has created artwork for various stories sold in books (such as Dungeons & Dragons) and previously worked as an art teacher assistant at Mt. Bethel Preschool. This artistic foundation informs her classroom approach, allowing her to incorporate creativity, visual expression, and hands-on learning to support children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and fine motor development.
Michaella has completed over 50 hours of continuing education through programs such as Pro Solutions, DECAL, and Handwriting Without Tears, among others, and continues to seek out professional learning opportunities in early childhood development. She is CPR and fire safety certified and is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Outside of the classroom, Michaella enjoys animals, reading, spending time outdoors, and sharing the school experience with her three-year-old son — which gives her a meaningful parent perspective as well as a teacher’s lens.
