Brief info

Sarah Kate received her Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Chattahoochee Technical College. She is board certified through AOTA and currently provides occupational therapy services to students in a variety of school-based settings and in the clinic. She has multiple years of experience working with children and young adults with a wide variety of diagnoses and completed a focused study specializing in sensory processing disorders for children. Sarah Kate grew up in Atlanta and was always drawn to working with children. Her passion is working with children to utilize tools and strategies to help clients be successful through any obstacle they may face and help them reach their maximum potential. She also prioritizes a collaborative approach with the family and other therapists to provide the best quality of care possible.

Sarah Kate has experience utilizing specialty trainings in a variety of clinical techniques and therapeutic approaches including:

The Wilbarger Touch Pressure Protocol for the treatment of sensory defensiveness and self-regulation challenges
Astronaut Training Protocol for integration of vision, sound, and movement
Handwriting Without Tears for the remediation of handwriting deficits
“Zones of Regulation Curriculum” to identify and apply strategies to assist in regulating one’s self for better attention and/or arousal as well as emotional regulation
